What we collect and why
When you contact us, we receive the details you provide: your name, contact details, property location, job description and any messages, reports or photographs. Landlords or agents may also provide contact and access details for a property. We use relevant information to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange access, carry out work and maintain the associated records.
Our basis for using information
We use information to take steps you request before a contract and to carry out that contract. For business contacts and property access arrangements, our legitimate interests are responding to enquiries and organising electrical services. We also keep records where required by accounting, tax or other legal obligations. Submitting this form does not subscribe you to marketing.
How messages are handled
The email form sends your entries to FormSubmit for delivery to our inbox. A spam check and confirmation appear on that service. FormSubmit states that submissions awaiting form activation are retained for up to 30 days. See FormSubmit’s privacy terms (PDF) and Google’s privacy notice for its reCAPTCHA check. If you choose WhatsApp, your message is passed to WhatsApp for you to review and send under WhatsApp’s privacy policy. You can also contact us directly by telephone or email.
Relevant team members and providers of email, hosting and business administration services may process information to help us handle your enquiry and work. Professional advisers, insurers or authorities may receive records where needed for a claim or legal obligation. Some online service providers operate internationally; contact Joshua for information about the providers handling your enquiry.
How long information is kept
Enquiry records are kept while the enquiry, quotation and any related follow-up remain active. Where work goes ahead, relevant correspondence, reports and payment records are retained for the contract, applicable legal record-keeping requirements and the handling of complaints or claims. Retention depends on the type of record and any outstanding obligation; information is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed for these purposes.
Website services
These website pages do not save completed form entries in a website database or browser storage and do not include advertising or visitor analytics scripts. The hosting service may process technical information to deliver and secure the site. Fonts are requested from Google, which receives connection information such as an IP address. The optional Google Map loads only after you choose “Show map”. Google then receives connection information and may use cookies under its privacy policy. The direct Google Maps link opens Google separately. External websites and services, including social media, apply their own privacy and cookie notices.
Your choices and rights
Providing enquiry details is your choice, but we may be unable to answer or arrange work without the relevant contact and property information. Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing or request a portable copy.
